LIVE Green x PLASA - Sector Sustainability Survey
LIVE Green and PLASA survey to map the industry’s sustainability attitudes, actions and achievements
LIVE Green has partnered with the Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA) to launch PLASA’s 2026 Sustainability Survey examining awareness, attitudes and actions relating to sustainability and carbon emissions reduction within the entertainment and events technology sector.
Launched today, the new survey will explore the music industry’s progress towards sustainability and net zero in the live events space. The survey aims to understand the priorities of industry professionals, the measures organisations are already taking, and the driving forces behind progress.
The results will then be assessed, culminating in a publicly available report that will be published in January 2027
Ross Patel, LIVE Green Impact Consultant at LIVE, said: “We are proud to be collaborating with PLASA on their annual sustainability sector survey. We want to enable all in the live music industry to commit to climate action by providing the necessary support, resources, and advice. This survey will give those in our industry a clear view of the progress being made, while identifying and addressing obstacles to accelerating action.”
Phoebe Currie, Sustainability Consultant, at PLASA said: "This survey will give us a holistic view of where our industry stands on sustainability: the attitudes shaping people’s thinking, the actions being taken across the supply chain, and the achievements we can build on. From manufacturers and rental companies to production crews and freelance technicians, everyone working in live events has a part to play in reducing our impact. We’re delighted to be partnering with LIVE Green, and we’d encourage as many people as possible to take part. The more voices we hear, the clearer the picture of what’s working and where the industry needs to go next.”
All responses to this survey will be anonymous and the survey will close on 18 November 2026. The survey can be accessed here.
